HALF TRUTHS

Half-Truths have always been ephemeral, and comical just as the TV character Pinocchio. Pinocchio means a liar, and his nose grows with every fib. Politicians, the clergy, rabbis, imams and what have you continue to mislead masses in lies and over many years since creation, people have bought into living in that world of half-truths and lies. The whole system stinks from the root to the head. I have actually scripted on the artwork and used a wrong spelling of the word “ societal”, which many people have overlooked to be correct.  This shows the society we have entered into, a lie has turned itself to be identical with the truth. Shocking where we are especially as a lying  people that voted lying people into the power of half-truths. Could this uniformity be the cause of like events and similar choices we make and / or adapt?
Part of this work unfolded from the speech from the President CR, and it forms part of how the human society operates against the truth.
(PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A SERIES OF TWO PAINTINGS THAT LED ME TO EXECUTE THE ARTWORK ‘ STOLEN RIGHTS”, so the story is shared by both two artworks)
In the wake of vaccines, herewith what C.R said, l quote
“ My fellow South Africans, nobody will be FORCED to take this vaccine.” C.R spoke from the following human rights that are currently being stripped of every human being on earth today.
The South African Health Act, Act 61  2003 Section 6 states that You have a right to be informed of any health care contemplated for you Section 7, Nothing can be done without your consent Section 8, No decision about your personal health and treatment will be made or executed without your participation. This means an individual ought to first concur.
The African Charter on Human / People’s Rights, Article 4 states, Human beings are inviolable, everyone has a right to life, liberty and security.
My fellow South Africans, we are jet-propelling, if not arrived as yet, to the violation and undressing of the Nuremberg code 1947 which states that The voluntary consent of the human subject is absolutely essential.
Our uncertainty seems to be the new normality.

The heaviness of the artwork depicts confusion in contrast with clarity. The tiny figure on the bottom lip of the face that is inside the mind of the long-nosed character, has an Anatomical crown (Corona)  on and l invite my audience to focus on it as themselves: We are crowned to be waiters to the masters at all costs…
